Before I run down this rabbit hole, has anybody relocated the oil filter on a W50 to the starboard panel? Is there room on the panel to make an installation there?

I'm away from the boat at the moment and I'm still busted up and can't get down into the starboard cockpit locker anyway.

I'm just tired of dripping oil all over the side of the engine and cleaning up the engine pan afterwards. And this seems like a way to stop the issues.

I must say I have thought about it. Also about fitting a drain hose to the oil pan plug to get rid of the dipstick tube arrangement. Just never got around to it!

What is interesting is the PDF engine manual I have for the W50 shows a bulkhead mounted oil filter with hoses to the engine block. But the hardcopy manual is on the boat and in a different state but not quite another time zone. Snicker

No good. On my boat, the place to put the remote filter is on a removable bulkhead under the galley sink. So not a stable location. Drat.
