I'm on the other side of the country as my boat ('78), and have access to a table saw. I want to make a custom cabinet to replace the gas stove currently in place. It'll use an electric cooktop and gimbal with a set of Dickinson 26-003 Gimbal Mounting Kit. I measured the height and depth that I need before leaving the boat, but wrote down a confusing number for the width. I need to know the width (side to side) of the opening in the gimbal slot. Can someone with the same vintage boat please measure and report back? Many thanks!
