All I can say is that I don’t think I could be happier with a boat in my first few days. We have been day sailing for years but always day sailing. This will be the first time we don’t have to put the mast up for every sail and use our personal ballast to keep the family from swimming unexpectedly. She comes home on the 22nd of September.

Struggling with the last few details. US Coast Guard Certification versus State Title. I think USCG. Also, registration and paying the taxes. I always forget about the taxes!

Florida Antique Boat Rules:
1) Used for Recreation only
2) Over 20 or 30 years old (Can't remember which but boat is old enough.)
3) Has original engine model. Can replace engine with same model.

Last year I paid $19 for my registration. $4.50/year for two years and $10 for Manatee program.

This is great information. I am planning on bringing Sierra to Ft Lauderdale so will register it as an antique. I know they prowl the canals to check who is registered so this is timely.
